Behind the Camera
I am a recent graduate from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Film and Television Production and minor in Business Administration. As a queer Chinese adoptee, my journey as a filmmaker has been driven by a profound desire to connect with others and to tell unique stories such as my own through visual storytelling, utilizing skills in video editing, cinematography, and producing.
Prior to college, I studied video production throughout all four years of high school, but it was in college where I developed a passion for cinematography. I began to recognize that one can evoke just as much emotion and significance through shot design and visual artistry as other video production roles such as writing or editing. Throughout college, I have served as the director of photography for two UF senior thesis films and six short films, as well as edited one music video and two short films. My work has been recognized through notable film festivals, including the BEA Festival of Media Arts, Orange and Blue Film Festival, and Lift-Off Global Network Sessions.

My goal is to be able to collaborate with other filmmakers to uplift the stories of others through the narrative genre. I flourish in fast-paced, diverse environments and love gathering inspiration from others. I am currently based in Gainesville, FL, but I am moving to New York City at the end of July/beginning of August 2025. I look forward to working with you!
